Sand Hills Golf & Country Club Newsletter September 2013
Well summer has passed (except for the temperature) and things are looking better. The course is looking the best it’s been in quite some time. Thanks to the course maintenance team and the many who have donated money to fund the improvements. A big THANK YOU to all of you.
Our big ta-do is coming up the 14th and 15 of September. It’s the Jerry Don Lambert Memorial Tournament. If you haven’t signed up, please do so soon. It will be a lot fun and the scholarship given to a deserving high school student should be significant. It will make Jerry and his family proud.
There is a lot going on during the two days of the Memorial Tournament. The famous Tony Chancellor is cooking the meat and if you haven’t tasted any of Tony’s food, you’re in for a treat!
Red may need help with cooking and other responsibilities such as picking up items from the store and/or placing the sponsor signs on the green. It seems like there is always something that comes up that needs attention when a large event like this is planned. If you can be available, please let Red know. In advance, thanks!
Friday lunches continue to be a big draw. Please keep coming and bring a friend. You might even talk them into joining. Sand Hills Golf & Country Club is a great place to eat, relax, play golf, visit with friends, and make new friends. We are family!
